James Wade Elrod, 48 of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 1, 2023 at 2:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Ochoa officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

James was born Monday, November 25, 1974, in Vernon, Texas, he was the son of Billy Elrod and Kim Fields. James married Yolanda Cuellar on August 26, 2021, in Denison, Texas. While living in Vernon James had worked for Tyson Foods, after moving to Pottsboro, Texas he worked for Champion Cooler Corporation and Del Monte of Dallas, Texas. James and his family attended TCE Church in Vernon, Texas.

James is survived by his wife Yolanda Elrod of Pottsboro Texas; two daughters, Mandi Elrod and Skylar Elrod of Denison, TX; four sons, Nathan Andrew Ward of Denison, TX, Edward Alexander Nuncio of Oklahoma City, OK, Samuel Romano Nuncio of Killeen, TX and Simon Nicolas Nuncio of Germany. James also leaves behind his mother, Kim Fields and husband William of Vernon, TX and his father Billy Elrod and wife Faye of Oklaunion, TX; two sisters, Misty Lynn Freeman of Vernon, TX, and Julie Ramirez and husband Jerry of Anna, TX. and seven grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday January 31, 2023, from 6-8pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
