James Robert Mills, 56 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Oklaunion, Texas

Services will be Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.

James was born Saturday, October 2, 1965 in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of Terrance Robert Mills and Mildred Irene Campbell Mills. He married Kimberly Swenson  on June 15, 2007 in Ft. Collins, CO. He retired from EMT from Thedford EMS/Fire Dept after twenty years of service. He moved to Vernon in 2018 from Thedford, NE., He worked as Shop Foreman at Pearson Livestock, and he worked part time at Butch's Gun Shop in Vernon, Texas. He was a member of the Road M/C Bikers' Club in Nebraska. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Thedford, NE.

James is survived by his wife Kim Mills of the home. His parents Terrance Robert Mills and Mildred Irene Mills of Ft. Collins Co.  His son, Martin Robert Mills and fiancé Melissa Smith of Thedford, NE, three daughters, Jemma Rene DeNaeyer and husband Daniel of Thedford, NE, Juanita Yvonne Mills and fiancé Jacob Byrd of Brownlee, NE and Brittany Clara Snider and fiancé Michael Shaw of Cedar Bluffs, NE; 20 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother Thomas W. Wilson and two grandchildren Keyliah Shae Mills-Smith, and Baby DeNaeyer.
