James Ray Neal, 45 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Ric Rosalez officiating.

James was born Sunday, November 4, 1979, in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Messer Cornwall. He worked for Sumner-Colley Lumber Company for eight years as a Yard Foreman. He loved music, playing video games, and watching movies. James was a very hard worker.

James is survived by his brother, Matthew Neal of El Reno, Oklahoma, his aunt, Jeanie McClain of Atoka, Oklahoma, and his work family at Sumner-Colley. James also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Cornwall, his grandmother, Ellen Stacy, and his grandpa, Cecil Messer.

Memorials may be given to Wilbarger County Humane Society.
