Janie B Torres, 80 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

A private family service will be held.

Janie was born Friday, May 5, 1944 in Sinton, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Guadalupe Valdez. Janie married Manuel Torres on February 24, 1996 in Hanford, CA. Janie was such a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She would always selflessly help others before herself. She loved playing bingo and going to casinos.

Janie is survived by her children Nita Martinez and husband Andy, Frances Ochoa and husband Daniel, Danita Logsdon and husband  David, Jessie Villarreal and Danny Villarreal, Jr., and wife Ginger. Along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Angie Martinez, Tomasa Magdalena Arismendez, Santos Valdez and Christian Quintero.

Janie is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Torres, brother Filomon Valdez, sisters Lucia Cortez, Maria Arismendez Ramos, and Alicia Azaldua.
