Jeanene Gfeller, 82 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Rendahl officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Jeanene was born Sunday, May 30, 1943. She was the daughter of the late J.D. Stringer and the late Rachel Smith Stringer. She married Kenneth "Ken" Gfeller on December 10, 1962, in Vernon, Texas. Jeanene and her husband, Ken, owned and operated the Flower Cart Flower Shop, and they also had a crafting business at the First Monday Canton Flea Market in Canton, Texas. She worked at the Flower Boutique and at St. Paul Lutheran School. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Jeanene was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served as the head for the Flowers to Praise God and the Emergency Food Committee.

Jeanene is survived by one son, Troy Don Gfeller, one brother, Jerry Stringer, one grandson, Troy Don Gfeller, Jr., one granddaughter, Adrianna Nicole Gfeller, and five great grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Ian Warner, Mallory Ann, Devon, and Karmelo Drew. Jeanene also leaves behind her nephews, Jay Stringer, Jodie Stringer, and Jeff Stringer and numerous cousins.

Jeanene is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Gfeller on March 31, 2013.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 9:00 am until funeral services begin.
