Jeffrey Robert Johnson peacefully passed away March 13, 2026, at his residence in Vernon, Texas.

He was born July 9, 1956, in Massillon, Ohio to Robert W. & Patricia (Parker) Johnson and grew up helping on the family farm in Canal Fulton, Ohio until moving to Texas in 2011. He was an avid horseman, competing in Western working events including reining, tie down roping and team roping. Jeff always enjoyed a good book and was an accomplished braider, creating usable horse equipment and gear.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Brianna McGhee & husband Christopher of Tipton, Oklahoma, Kristen Johnson of Henrietta, Texas, his son, Benjamin Johnson of Whetstone, Arizona, his beloved grandchildren, Robert Lee and Lindy Faye McGhee, his sister, Tami Johnson of Williston, South Carolina, his brother, Raymond Johnson of Williston, South Carolina, as well as extended family and friends.

A gathering of friends, memories and food will held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm at the Kerr Cattle Company "Fitts" barn, 290 Spur 510 in Henrietta, Texas.
