Jerry Ray Najera, Sr., 46, was born on September 12, 1976, and began his eternal walk with the Lord on March 28, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Janie Rangel, Ruth Ann Ochoa, and Dr. Jonathan Ochoa officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Jerry was born in Vernon, Texas, but was a Wichita Falls native where he spent a great portion of his life. Jerry was the son of Maria Fuentes and the late Ciprano Najera, Jr., and a Step-Son to Leonardo Fuentes. Jerry had one sister and one brother, Leticia Ann Garcia, and Gary Najera. Jerry had three children of his own, who he adored with his whole heart, Jerry Ray Najera, Jr., Jazmyn Giselle, and Jasek Lorenzo Najera. Jerry also was a grandfather to his grandson, Isias Figueroa. He was a very loving Uncle, or "Unk", to a total of six nieces, and eight nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Cipriano Najera, Jr., and his grandparents Sipriano Najera, Sr., Juanita Najera, Julia Calvillo, and Cosma Calvillo.

Jerry Ray Najera will be remembered as a dear friend to everybody he met in his lifetime, because everybody he would meet instantly realized the heart that he had inside. If there was something anybody needed, Jerry would be the go-to in the family, and would even give you the shirt off his back if necessary. Art was a big part of Jerry's life as he enjoyed drawing in his free time and was as incredibly talented tattoo artist. If there was one thing, he preferred it was working outside with his hands and working on lawn mowers with his brother, Gary Najera, and Brother-in-law, Pedro Garcia. Jerry had many hobbies in his lifetime whether it was working on his lowrider bikes, lowrider cars he owned over the years, or just being a handy man. He was deeply passionate about everything he did in his lifetime. Jerry enjoyed listening to music with his sister, Leticia, of all kinds and was competitive with her on who had the loudest speakers. Lastly, Jerry will be remembered for his heart, the laughs he gave us, and the light he brought to this world with his bright spirit and bright smile.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.
