Jimmy Edward Hatfield was called to his Heavenly home Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the age of 35, to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 am at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral  Home.

Jimmy was born December 26, 1987, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He moved with his parents to Oklahoma as a small child. He later lived with several foster parents until adopted by Trey Hatfield. At the age of seventeen, he continued his life with his grandparents, Dennis and Sharon Lingnau. After graduation he worked with his grandfather in the Taxidermy Profession. He then pursued other occupations with Subway, Taco Casa, Walmart, and Tyson. He entered the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was in Airborne, but was later released with an Honorable Discharge. He then returned to work again in the Taxidermy Studio. He took several breaks and traveled around and throughout the United States. His final days, he returned to work in the Taxidermy Business in Vernon, Texas.

Jimmy attended Vernon schools from fifth grade until graduation. He excelled in computers and math. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with wild life. He enjoyed watching the wildlife animals. Because of his love for God and Jesus, he attended the Western Trail Cowboy Church in Vernon, Texas. He made wonderful friends there and enjoyed helping anyone that needed his help. He had a heart of gold to those who loved and needed him, and he would do any task that was asked of him. He made special friendships with Paster Ron Fox and Mrs. Latrell Fox, Larry Drennon, Cathy Fox, Virginia Sivley, Amber Honeycutt, and many others.

Jimmy is survived by his father, Trey Hatfield; two sisters, Sabra Mitchell of Detroit, Michigan and Jamie Brock of Dallas, Texas; two adopted brothers, Joe Hatfield of Arkansas, and Eli Hatfield of Waco, Texas; adopted grandparents, Dennis & Sharon Lingnau (Den & Mom) of Vernon, Texas; two adopted uncles, Alvin Lingnau of Vernon, Texas, and Matt Gonzales of Vernon, Texas; two adopted aunts, Rebecca Lingnau of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sharon Gonzales of Vernon, Texas, and his three step-children, Joshua Reeves, Jennifer Reeves, and Jessica Reeves. Jimmy also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Sinks Labs; his great grandparents, Meinhard & Louise Lingnau and Edward & Elizabeth Gellner; his former wife, Ruthann Hatfield; his aunt, Rita Lingnau, and his beloved dog and companion, Alex Trebek.

The family request for those in attendance of the service to wear a light blouse or shirt with jeans because of the heat.
