John Robert "Bubba" Wattenbarger, Jr., 58 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10:00 am at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Ric Rosalez officiating.

Bubba was born Sunday, March 27, 1966, in Chillicothe, Texas. He was the son of the late John Robert Wattenbarger, Sr. and Barbara Diane Odom Wattenbarger. Bubba worked in construction and was a very talented carpenter. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Bubba is survived by his mother, Diane Wattenbarger of Iowa Park, Texas; two sons, Robert Allen Wattenbarger of Wichita Falls, Texas and John Dylan Wattenbarger of Vernon, Texas, and two daughters, Heather Kapri Flores of Sherman, Texas and Ashley Denise Nichols of Comanche, Oklahoma. Bubba also leaves behind six grandchildren.

Bubba is preceded in death by his father, Robert Wattenbarger on July 14, 2022, and his brother, Ricky Wattenbarger in October of 1991.

Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2024 at Sullivan Funeral Home from 9:00 am until services begin.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
