John George Tidmore, 85 of Chillicothe, Texas died on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside service will be Friday, August 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home/Smith Chapel.

John was born Tuesday, February 4, 1936 in Montague County, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Tidmore and the late Nora Finch  Tidmore. He married Mary Ann Condren on July 9, 1961 in Chillicothe, TX. He was a retired grocery manager He served in the US Army. He was a Baptist. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved cars, family, and his wife most of all.

John is survived by his wife Mary Ann Tidmore of the home. his  sons, Chris Tidmore and wife Christine of Chillicothe, TX and Craig Tidmore and wife Diane of Chillicothe, TX. Three grandchildren Christopher Craig (Tara), Christian Cameron (Jessica) and John Quin. two great grandchildren Kenna Kaye, Natalie Grace.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Harrold Tidmore, Curtis Tidmore, three sisters Bobbie Boyd, Charlene Pounds, Rowena Stone. One nephew Ronald Stone.

Visitation will be 12 noon till serve time at Smith Chapel in Chillicothe, TX.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
