Johnnie C. Goodrum, 93 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, June 13, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 am at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mr. Mike Klappenbach.

Johnnie was born Wednesday, May 22, 1929 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ervin Elwood Best and the late Nettie Jane Wilkinson Best. She married J.L. Goodrum April 28, 1945 in Fargo, TX. he preceded her in death September 13, 1981. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon, Texas. She retired from Food Service, Vernon State Hospital. She was a member of Wilbarger St. Church of Christ.

Johnnie is survived by her sons, Henry Orval Goodrum and wife Sandra of Vernon, TX and John Goodrum of Vernon, TX, daughter, Claire Koehn of Amarillo, TX. Eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy Goodrum Ballard, her parents, four sisters, Gladys Keg, Dorothy Martin, Bonnie Best and Claire Newland.
