Johnny Ray Embers Jr. of Vernon Tx, passed unexpectedly on April 1, 2026, in Oregon City, Oregon where he resided in the home of his aunt Joyce Embers and husband Vernell Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Reed, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Johnny Embers Jr. was born on July 18, 1985, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Johnny Ray Embers Sr. and Vanessa Jones. Johnny, also known to us as (June Bug, Junior and Perm), was a joyful and charismatic person with a passion for life and art. Johnny spent his time working odd jobs while pursuing his goal to become an independent ink artist but could have became a comedian. Johnny’s sense of humor kept those around him laughing and in good spirits. He knew exactly how to find the joy, and funniest in all of life’s complexities. We all can say that to know him was to love him.

Johnny Jr. is survived by his parents Johnny Ray Embers Sr., Vanessa Jones. His siblings Nicholas Graves, Inita Ferris, Radiance Embers, Jasima Mangum, Tandra Embers and leaves to celebrate his memory Nylah Embers, Marquavion Embers, Monea Embers, Lliana and grandson Jose Manuel Santiago.

Johnny Jr. is proceeded in death by his grandparents Arthur Embers Sr., Jannie Embers and Terrance Gaines.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
