Jose Leon Saldana Trejo, of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mass services will be held Friday, October 13, 2023, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating.

Jose was born Monday, April 22, 1946, in Hidalgo, Mexico. He was the son of the late Rosendo Saldana and the late Petra Trejo. He was married to Guadalupe Gaytan Saldana. He worked for Tyson Foods and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Jose is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Saldana of the home; five children, Claudia Isabel Saldana Gaytan, Raymondo Saldana Gaytan, Jose Efrain Saldana Gaytan, Miriam Saldana Gaytan and Adriana Saldana Gaytan, and eight siblings, Agustina Saldana Trejo, Guadalupe Saldana Trejo, Maria Saldana Trejo, Jobita Saldana Trejo, Hipolita Saldana Trejo, Mario Saldana Trejo, Pompilio Saldana Trejo, and Valentina Saldana Trejo. Jose also leaves behind three grandchildren, Atala Kinari Saldana Gaytan, Leonardo Alejandro Saldana Marquez, and Vestor Alejandro Saldana Marquez.

Jose is preceded in death by two siblings, Maleno Saldana Trejo and Nicholasa Saldana Trejo.

Rosary will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.
