Josefina Chavarria, 65 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ismael Ortiz officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Josefina was born Saturday, June 6, 1959, in Las Anonas, Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Jaimez and the late Anastasia Benitez Jaimez. She married Gudberto Chavarria in July 1981. She loved her family, children, and grandchildren, and she loved to cook. She was a loving mother and wife, and she always put others before herself. She also loved attending church at the Bread of Life Church.

Josefina is survived by her husband, Gudberto Chavarria of the home, six  daughters, Daisy Chavarria of Vernon, Texas, Ana Mora of Vernon, Texas, Olivia Moreno of Wichita Falls, Texas, Diana Gonzalez of Vernon, Texas, Carolina Chavarria of Vernon, Texas and Guillermina Martinez of Marble Falls, Texas, one son, Jose Sanchez of Marble Falls, Texas, and one sister, Maria Jaimez of Kingsland, Texas. Josefina also leaves behind twenty one grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Josefina is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo & Anastasia Jaimez.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Sullivan Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until funeral services begin.
