Joshua "Josh" Blake Holcomb, 29 of Nocona, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Nocona, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2024, at 10:00 am at Western Trail Cowboy Church in Vernon, Texas with Rev Ric Rosalez and Rev. Luke Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Josh was born Wednesday, October 5, 1994, in Altus, Oklahoma. He was the son of Kent Holcomb and Jessie McCarty Dickerson. Josh was a 2013 graduate of Northside High School. He loved spending time with his pride and joy, Paisleigh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography, gaming, and storm chasing. He was a member of the Lone Star Storm Chasers and Western Trail Cowboy Church.
Josh is survived by one daughter, Paisleigh Ann Oglesby-Holcomb of Vernon, Texas; his parents, Jessie & David Dickerson and Kent & Corrie Holcomb; his sisters, Kelsie Leija & husband Brandon of Nocona, Texas, Destiny Brooks & husband Jonathan of Wichita Falls, Texas, Heather Thiebaud of Rockwall, Texas, Tiffany Dickerson of Burleson, Texas, Courtney Dickerson of Mansfield, Texas, and Jessica Kirkendall & wife Bri of Shallowater, Texas; his brothers, Justin Acosta & wife Tifani of Fargo, Texas, Koby Dickerson & wife Kayla of Fargo, Texas, Cody Dickerson & wife Tabitha of Arlington, Texas, and Justin Kirkendall & wife Colleen of Tolar, Texas; his grandparents, Darlene & Tommy Kajs of Vernon, Texas; one uncle, Michael Holcomb & wife Brenda of Wichita Falls, Texas; one aunt, Debbie Frerich & husband Ron of Wichita Falls, Texas; his sister-in-law, Janette Samson of Kingsville, Texas; his cousins, Austin Holcomb & wife Kaitlyn, Devon Holcomb, Rachel Rainbolt & husband T.J., Ryan Reasoner, and Jonathon Frerich & wife Sarah all of Wichita Falls, Texas, Josh also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Josh is preceded in death by his brother, Corey Samson; grandparents, Gerald & Joyce Holcomb, and his uncle, Dallas Lynn McCarthy.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to Lone Star Storm Chasers or the youth program at Western Trail Cowboy Church.
