Joy Alee Johnston, 78 of Mc Kinney, Texas died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Mc Kinney, Texas.

Services will be Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00  pm at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, TX., Officiating will be Rev. Clay Carter, Interment will be held at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Joy was born Monday, October 12, 1942 in Chillicothe, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Addis Creighton and Myrtle Hale Creighton. She married Larry Johnston on October 25, 1961 in Chillicothe, TX., he preceded her in death on September 13, 2015. She was a long-time realtor for 30 years. She was a homemaker

Joy is survived by her son, James Shawn Johnston of Frisco, TX., a granddaughter Tessa Leigh Johnston, her siblings Deann Merchant, Bobbie Pursley and Sue Inmon, and her beloved cat Tabby.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two siblings India Melton, Dan Creighton.

Visitation will be on Friday at 1:00 pm till service time at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, TX.
