Julian
Nagera
Oct 6, 1979 — Dec 16, 2024
Julian Nagera, 45, of Lansing, MI, passed away in Vernon, TX on December 16, 2024. Born in Phoenix, AZ, to his mother Antonia Nagera, Julian was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
Knowing Julian was to love him, and everyone who knew him truly did. His tattoos might have been the first thing you noticed, but it only took a moment to see the gentle, loving man underneath—a true teddy bear. He shared an extraordinary bond with his two daughters, Sarina and Hannah, loving them unconditionally, and they adored him in return. Julian was also the best grandpa in the world, cherishing his grandchildren Angeleah, Penelope, Angelo, Mila, and Leonardo, and always making sure they felt his immense love. His grandchildren were his entire world and the love he poured into them will continue on forever.
An extraordinary artist with a passion for lowrider culture and his Aztec heritage, Julian split his life between Michigan and Texas. He was fiercely loyal, honorable, and protective, a true confidant and friend to all who knew him. Julian's warmth, creativity, and unmatched spirit made him one of a kind. He will be deeply missed and forever loved for his kind heart, infectious smile, and dedication to his family.
Julian is survived by two sisters who he loved deeply, Jessica Nagera, and Veronica Nagera, and a host of nieces and nephews whom he shared a close and special bond with including Brianna Nagera, Aaliyah Nagera, Jordan Nagera, Abcde Reyes, Antwaun Dove, Joseph Pardo, Naveah Reyes, Santana Reyes, and Grace Nagera, Davia and Antonia, aunts, Juanita (Herbey) Garza, Angie Nagera, and Ester Saldana, son Michail (Bethanny) Reyes, daughters, Sarina (Darian) Bachman, Hannah Reyes, grandchildren Angeleah Reyes, Penelope Reyes, Angelo Reyes, Mila Black, and Leonardo Reyes. Multiple cousins and close friends.
Julian is preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Nagera, grandparents, Eulalio Nagera, Isabel Perez Platas, cousins Edward and Anthony Nagera.
To honor Julian's wishes, an interment of ashes will be held so he can rest with his mother in Vernon, TX, and with his favorite cousin Anthony, in Lansing, MI.
A memorial service will be held in Lansing, MI, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 4:00 pm, Eldorado Event Center, 5206 S. Cedar Street, Lansing, MI 48911.
