June Sanderson, 91 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, August 16, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Tamplen officiating. There will be a visitation following service at Sullivan Funeral Home.

June was born Saturday, June 28, 1930 in Newcastle, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Fred Moody and the late Alice Brown  Moody. She was a graduate of Newcastle High School. She moved to Vernon in 1957. She retired from, USDA, Farm Service Agency. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Murl Sanderson and June Moody married in 1946. Murl passed in March 1978.

June is survived by her son, Michael Sanderson and wife Janna of Denton, TX; daughter-in-law Debra Sanderson of Vernon, TX. Three grandchildren; Eric Sanderson, David Sanderson, and Laura Lamming. Four great grandchildren; Luke Sanderson, Jacob Sanderson, Lily Sanderson and Nathan Lamming.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Dean Moody, Alwana Burch, Mary Bloodworth, Bonnie McWhorter, Jack Moody, Billy Moody, and Johnny Moody and her son, Alfred Sanderson.
