Kenneth E. Benton Sr., 70 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Vernon, Texas. Kenneth was born Wednesday, December 05,1951 in Foard County Hospital; he was the son of Fred Benton and Ruby (Jones)Benton. He served in the US Military. He married Shelia Coleman on June 2, 1979, in the Five and one community. He worked at Delong's Sporting Goods in Crowell and Quanah Tx for over ten years. He then worked for the city of Crowell before moving on to work at Copper Breaks National Park. For the past 17 years, he worked for the Texas Department of Public Transportation in Crowell, Texas. He was a member and Deacon at Woods Street Baptist Church.
