Kenzie "Doodie"Dyon Wier, 36 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 27, 2021 at 6:00pm at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Luke Morrison officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Kenzie was born Monday, October 22, 1984 in Freeport, Texas, she was the daughter of Joel Dawson and Tammy Laird. Kenzie married John Wier in June of 2009 in Houston Texas. Kenzie was a member of Western Trail Cowboy Church. Kenzie was an awesome teacher, she inspired so many children with her love and compassion for them. Kenzie was a true friend and was always willing to help anyone.

Kenzie is survived by her mother and step father Tammy and Anthony Laird, of Vernon, Texas, her father and step mother Joel and Gail Dawson of Clute, Texas, her brother, Jacob Dawson and wife Kayla of Rosharon, TX.  Step sister Heather Alsobrook and husband Earl of Pearland, Texas, two stepbrothers T.J. Laird of Angleton, Texas and Rocky Laird and wife Ashley of Angleton, Texas. Kenzie's grandmother Johnie Baldwin of Vernon, Texas, her aunts Christy Cooper and husband Terry of Magnolia, Texas , Jessica Lacy husband David of Wichita Falls Texas, and, Jennifer Baldwin of Vernon, Texas. She also leaves behind her great aunts Cecilene Krebs, Dale Thomas and Jo Eagleston, her niece and nephew Kayden, Krystalynn, Earl, Stormy, Steven, Anthony, Andrew, Tatum, and RJ, along with numerous loving cousins.

Kenzie is preceded in death by her husband John Weir
