Kim was born in Vernon, TX. He was the son of Bill Kidd and Margaret Eiland Kidd. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1975. Kim spent most of his career in the oil field. He worked for FMC in Spring, Texas, for almost 15 years before going to work for ExxonMobil as a Logistics Supervisor. He had a fulfilling career over the next 20 years, working in Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Chad, Turkey, Papua New Guinea, Alaska, and the Gulf of Mexico, making many friends and colleagues. Kim was a Christian who loved our Lord and was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. One of Kim’s greatest joys was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. After retiring, he and his wife, Patty, moved from Vernon to Emory, Texas, to live on Lake Fork and pursue his love of fishing.
Kim leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia McPeak Kidd, and a brother, Billy Kidd, and his wife, Lisa, of Greenwood, Texas. He is also survived by his children: Ignacio Kidd and his wife, Becky, of Spring, Texas; Kristy Glass and her husband, Ronnie, of Bastrop, Texas; Jeffrey Kidd of Wichita Falls, Texas; Scott Brandt and his wife, Ashley, of Winnsboro, Texas; Stephanie Rodriguez and her husband, Ross, of Pottsboro, Texas; and Ashley Hawkins and her husband, Gary, of Midland, Texas. Kim also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Aden Kidd, Killian Kidd, Kayla Lopez, Matthew Arredondo, Jeffrey Kidd Jr., Dennis Kidd, Claire Christian, Brighton Rodriguez, Casen Hawkins, Logan Hawkins, and Liam Brandt. Also, many loving family members and friends.
