Larry Wade Perkins, 76 of Vernon, Texas died on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Larry was born  Monday, November 13, 1944 in Vernon, Texas, he was the son of the late Leroy Perkins and Clara Langdon  Perkins. He married Barbara Sue McCoy on February 17, 1968 in Burkburnett, TX. she preceded him in death December 10, 2008.

He worked as an Agricultural Consultant for many years, He served in the US Army January of  1967 to  December of 1968. He  loved his kids, wife, coffee, and his little dog "Missy" and John Wayne.

He is survived by his children, Shannon Ortega and Husband Michael of Houston, TX., Clinton Perkins and wife Victoria of Wichita Falls, TX., Elisha Wehrwein and husband Rob of Vernon, TX.  and Tandy Perkins and wife Cassia of Round Rock, TX., his  brothers, Roy Kent Perkins of Farmers Valley, TX and Randy Perkins of Kingston, OK, sister, Venita Ray of Vernon, TX; Five grandchildren Shane, Preston, Logan, Andrew and Thomas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Donald Ray Perkins and Buddy Perkins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
