Laura Ann
Ranjel
May 28, 1966 — Sep 6, 2022
Laura Ann Ranjel, 56 of Vernon, Texas died on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Services will be Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 am at First Assembly of God Church. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Diekman and Rev. Phillip Weitner. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Laura was born Saturday, May 28, 1966 in Cuero, Texas. She was the daughter of Josie Chavez Lucio and the late Polo Rodriguez. She married Robert Ranjel on July 19, 1986 in Vernon, Texas. She attended school at Northside. She was a Teacher's Aide and retired 6 years ago from VISD. She was a graduate of VRJC Licensed Cosmetologist and she was a member of the Santa Rosa Belles. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, and a member of Praise and Worship. She was a homemaker.
Laura Ranjel was THE Aunt, THE Sister, THE Wife, and THE Family Baker. Whatever role her family or her church needed her to fill, she could be relied upon. She did not do it because she had to, she did it because she wanted to. She wanted to reflect her love for people. The Love JESUS had given her. She always made it a point to keep the family connected. Either with regular visits to her mom's or attending a family celebration, she would arrive with a big red cake in hand. Laura also helped to care for many of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She did all of these things and so much more.
It was not doing these things selflessly that we will remember; but rather, how she did them, with Grace. She was a Lady, in the highest respect. She was regularly dressed up top to bottom. Not an accessory missing or hair out of place. Some would call it vanity but those close to her knew the truth. Laura lived by a belief of reflection. She knew when she walked out of her house, she was a representative of: Her Husband, Her Family, Her School Northside, Her Town Vernon, and most importantly Her JESUS. She refused to reflect poorly on what she stood for and believed in; which, more than anything, was the Love of GOD and His Saving Grace.
Laura is survived by her husband Robert Ranjel of the home. Her son, Albert Ranjel and wife Amanda of Vernon, TX, daughter, Jennifer Matthews and husband Micheal of Vernon, TX, brother, Ruben Paul Rodriguez and wife Becky of Wichita Falls, TX, two sisters, Diane Zambrano and husband Roger of Vernon, TX and Renee Nava of Vernon, TX; Nine grandchildren Devon Matthews, Adam Matthews, Nikolas Ranjel, Romeo Ranjel, Khloe McCombs, Corban Ranjel, Lucas Sanchez, Paige McCombs, and MacLyn Ranjel.
