Lenora Koontz, 81, finished her earthly race on March 17, 2023. We can only imagine the joy and celebration when she laid her crown at the feet of Jesus!

She is remembered for her faith, kindness, love, grace, and patience. She was a Godly woman and very confident in her salvation. She shared words of encouragement and scriptures with many people throughout each week. These messages will be deeply missed, but her hope and legacy is that each person she touched will continue sharing the good news.

Lenora was a resident of Amarillo TX until she met and married her husband, Delmore Koontz of Chillicothe TX in August of 1989. While in Amarillo, she was highly thought of and sought after in her profession working as the comptroller for Sid Stout Ford, John Chandler Ford and then Eddy Bradley's Autoplex. After her move to Chillicothe, she worked for the Cotton Gin and the US Post Office. Although, not formally educated, she was self-taught, hardworking and extremely valued.

Lenora was an avid reader, lover of music, a student of the Bible, but the highlight of each year was her adventurous girl trips with her daughter and sister (aka, the three musketeers)! She loved "overnights" with her special needs granddaughter, Jennie and trips across the country to see some of her great grandchildren - Amazing memories, never to be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Delmore Koontz; daughter, Tracy Howland and husband Mike; son, Marshall Brazille and wife Cathy; sister, Billye Stephens and husband Larry; brother Rick Stone. She was proud to be the G-mom of Stephen Brazille and wife Lilia; Brent Brazille and wife Jennette; Aaron Howland and wife Alysia, Brandon Howland and fiancé Sabrina; Justin Howland and wife Shannon; Jennie Howland, Lyndsey Arnold and husband James; Leslie Richardson, Nathaniel Movroydis, William Movroydis, Justin Sladek and wife Jessica and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Jack Stone and mother Verdis Baker, her daughter, Lori Brazille Kell and great-granddaughter Kaila Brazille.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Her children arise and call her blessed. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all her hands have done" Proverbs 31: 25-26,28,30,31.

The family is having a private celebration honoring the wonderful life of Lenora. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to a charity of your choosing.
