Leon Sellers, 72 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 10:00 am at Second Baptist Church under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Ric Rosalez officiating.

Leon was born Saturday, January 31, 1953, in Quanah, Texas. He was the son of the late Leo Wade Sellers and the late Mary Frances Carmichael Sellers. He married Debora Hicks on December 6, 1974, in Vernon, Texas. He worked for West Texas Utilities and AEP. He started as a lineman and then moved into management. He also worked for Sumner-Colley Lumber Company. He loved the outdoors. He was a former member the Volunteer Fire Department in Munday, Texas, a past president of the Munday Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas.

Leon is survived by his wife Debora Sellers of the home, two daughters, Toni LeAnn Brown & husband Tony and Tara Nicole Sellers both of Odell, Texas, and two brothers, Jimmy Sellers of Altus, Oklahoma and Michael Sellers of Quanah, Texas. Leon also leaves behind three grandchildren, Trinity Zane, Taylor Alexis, and Coral D-Lynn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leon is preceded in death by his sisters, Cynthia and Patsy, his brother, Bonnon and Donald, and his sister-in-law, Sylvia.

Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to the Second Baptist Church of Vernon, Texas.
