Linda Sue Davis, 77 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Mr. David Davis officiating.

Linda was born Friday, May 30, 1947, in Lubbock, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Lester C. Carter and the late Ella Mae Giddens Carter. She married Alan Davis on September 7, 1968, in Lockney, Texas. She graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She taught History and Social Studies at the Vernon Intermediate School. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Vernon Quilting Club.

Linda is survived by her husband, Alan Davis of the home and one daughter, Lori DeKay & husband Todd of Roswell, New Mexico. Linda also leaves behind two grandchildren, Ashley Quijada and Zachary DeKay and one great grandchild, Aubrey Quijada.
