Obituary

Lois Elaine Pearson, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church with Mr. Mike Klappenbach officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Lois Elaine was born Friday, August 11, 1950, in Vernon, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Kelly Claybrook Hall and the late Winnie Lois Harris Hall. She was married to Ronald Pearson. Lois Elaine graduated from Midwestern State University with a bachelor's degree in social work. She retired after thirty years from the North Texas State Hospital. She loved animals and her wiener dog, but she especially loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her family. She was very generous, donating to many charities. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a child. Lois Elaine was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught children's Bible studies.

Lois Elaine is survived by her son, Brandon Kirkland & wife Doris of Vernon, Texas, and her daughter, Melissa Balderas & husband Joe of Vernon, Texas. Lois Elaine also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Susan Kirkland, Abby Kirkland, Kaden Balderas, Karson Balderas, Kendall Balderas, Kason Balderas and Kyson Balderas, and one great grandchild, Braelynn Duncan.

Lois Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Pearson in 2012, her parents, Kelly & Lois Hall, her brothers, Raymond Hill, Donald Hill, and Shannon Hall, and her granddaughter, Kelly Kate Balderas.

Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society, 2907 Yamparika St., Vernon, TX 76384.
