Lonnie Del Barnes, age 67, of Carriere, MS, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:00 am at Bell Cemetery in Odell, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Lonnie spent most of his life in Wichita Falls, TX, and has lived in Carriere, MS for the last ten years. He was a Fire & Safety Inspector and worked in water maintenance for the city of Electra, TX, and a member of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert James Barnes and Betty Ruth Trout Barnes; his brother, Monte Lee Barnes; and his former wife, Tina Lorraine Barnes.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shawna (Kenny) Lee Barnes Abbe; his sons, Lonnie (Jenna) Del Barnes, Jr. and Joshua (Kari) Travis Barnes; his stepson, Michael Cavallaro; his stepdaughter, Makaila Cavallaro; his 9 grandchildren, Shayana, Brianna, Boen, Taylor, Kody, Brynleigh, Brodie, Jacie, and Kinzlie; his 1 great grandchild, Kyomi; his sisters, Mamie (Jim) Barnes Constantine and Debra Lynn Barnes Lightell; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his furry friend, Casper.
