Lonnie Lee Bray, 78, of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at East to West Baptist Church with Pastor Curt Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Lonnie was born Wednesday, September 24, 1947, in Enloe, Texas. He was the son of the late Cecil Bray and the late Nellie Pearl Vaughn Bray. He married Dian Walker on September 28, 2002, in Vernon, Texas. He worked for the City of Vernon in Waste Management. He loved music, especially Elvis Presley, and he was a good shade tree mechanic. Lonnie was a very talented drummer for the Charles Snyder Band. He loved going camping, but above all he loved his family. He was a member of East to West Baptist Church.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Dian Bray of the home, three sons, Steven Lee Bray of Vernon, Texas, Billy Davis & wife Stacie of Burkburnett, Texas and Steven Moody of Vernon, Texas, three daughters, Kara Sides & husband Lance of Bushland, Texas, Stephanie Fernandez & husband Jesse of Vernon, Texas and Amy Davis & husband John of Vernon, Texas, and one brother, Donald Bray of Vernon, Texas. Lonnie also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great granddaughter arriving soon.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Bray and Johnny Bray, and his sisters, Wanda Adkins, Jackie Mandrell, Mary Burden and Sadie Hessor.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
