Loretta Joyce Wakefield Sheppard passed away to be with Jesus on January 14, 2022.

A celebration of life will be held at Leave A Mark Church in Columbus, OH on January 26 at 1:00 pm.

She was born Friday, December 18, 1970 in Hurst, TX. She grew up and was raised in Vernon, TX. She graduated from Vernon High School in 1989, and went on to graduate nursing school in Houston, TX. Loretta married John Sheppard on September 6, 2003 in Houston, TX. They both loved to fish and spend time at the beach in Galveston, TX and they resided in Houston for many years until John's death in 2017.

Loretta really enjoyed nursing and loved helping others, especially Alzheimer's patients. She loved the Lord and enjoyed helping and serving at her church in any way she could.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Sheppard and her Mother Judy Wakefield.

She is survived by her father Bobby Wakefield of Vernon,TX ; her sister Leslie Wakefield Miller of Auburn,ME;   brother Joe David Wakefield and wife Mindy of Grove City, OH and brother Bobby Wakefield Jr. and wife Jean of El Reno, OK. Her Nieces and Nephews: Beth, Alysa, Madison, Clinton, Jack and Joe. Aunts, Uncles and cousins throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Services will be held at Leave A Mark Church, 4818 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43207 with Chaplain Matt Sisk officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Leave A Mark Church or the Kidney Foundation 1941 Polaris Parkway # 268 Columbus, OH 43240.
