Lucinda Valverde Taylor, 70 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Memorial services will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mark Belyea officiating.
Lucy was born Friday, July 15, 1955, in Cameron, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Domingo Valverde and the late Guadalupe Ramirez Valverde. She married Michael Taylor on September 12, 1975, in Vernon, Texas. She was a Home Health Aide. Lucy loved the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys. She was the peacemaker. She was very caring and loving to everyone, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.
Lucy is survived by her husband, Michael Taylor of the home, her three children, Chrisie Tallant & husband Timmy of Castroville, Texas, Jeremy Taylor & wife Amanda of The Colony, Texas and Levi Taylor of Vernon, Texas, seven grandchildren, Brittany Tallant, Levi Taylor Jr., Karisa Herrera, Damian Taylor, Jade Taylor, Julius Taylor, and Yaleena Taylor, and four great grandchildren, Hazel Flathers, Grayson Thomase Bateman, Scarlett Rose Bateman, and Justin James Pukrap. Lucy also leaves behind five sisters, Connie Hickey & husband Albert, Hope Boudnik & husband Ronald, Mary Ann Perez, Rosa Hernandez & husband Joe and Vicky Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucy is preceded in death by her sisters, Janie Macias and Lupe Valverde Ruelas, and her brother, Domingo Valverde, Jr.
