Guadalupe "Lupe" Tovar Bustamante, 70 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 surrounded by his loving family in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 19, 2025, at 10:00am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Richard Reyna officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Lupe was born Sunday, December 12, 1954, to the late Marcos Bustamante and the late Esperanza Tovar Bustamante. Lupe married Isabel Lira on May 5, 1972, in Vernon, Texas. They recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. Lupe worked for several years for Kinlau Sheet Metal as a welder. In 1989, he opened his own business "Bustamante's Automotive". In 1994 he built with his own hands a Dance Hall "La Copa". Lupe collaborated with many famous Hispanic musicians who would perform. Our beloved dad, husband and brother Lupe loved promoting and producing music. You could find him playing his guitar or accordion in his free time. Most importantly Lupe was a family man and a protector who loved his family unconditionally. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Lupe also loved to fish, and he had a green thumb and could grow just about anything.

Lupe is survived by his wife Isabel Bustamante of the home. His children Jesse Bustamante and wife Ana of Quanah, Texas, Priscilla Bustamante Boyd and husband Ricky Boyd of Wichita Falls, Texas and Kristi Bustamante of Vernon, Texas. His grandchildren Jessica Sands, Cody Bustamante, Marcos Bustamante, Caleb Rodriguez, Christopher Bustamante, Jeremiah Rivera, Adam Hope, Benny Bustamante, Judith Perez, Jasmine Bustamante and Journey Campbell, along with ten great grandchildren. Lupe also leaves behind his siblings, Sulema Chavez, Mary Bustamante, Rosa Bustamante, Amy Curtis, Stefanie Callejas and Robert Bustamante. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Lupe is preceded in death by his grandson Cory Daniel Bustamante, his brothers Juan Bustamante, Jesse Bustamante, Ruben Bustamante, Danny Bustamante, and sister Sarah Perez. His parents Marcos and Esperanza Bustamante.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-7pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
