Marcia Kell Haynes, 83 of Chillicothe, Texas died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Chillicothe, Texas.

Graveside service will be Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:00 am at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be her brother Lon Edward Byars.

Marcia was born Wednesday, October 5, 1938 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Clois Judson Byars, Sr. and the late Ruth Kell Lutz  Byars. She married Wayne Haynes on February 12, 1960 in Chillicothe, Texas. She was a graduate of Vernon High School in 1957, she attended University of North Texas. She was a substitute teacher at Chillicothe ISD and Vernon ISD. She enjoyed sewing, working in her yard and playing Bunko. She was a member of Christian Scientist Church. She was a homemaker.

Marcia is survived by her husband Wayne Haynes of the home. Three sons, Barry Haynes and wife Mikka of Chillicothe, TX, Bob Haynes and wife Vickie of Pilot Point, TX and Bill Haynes and wife Haley of Chillicothe, TX, brothers, Lon Edward Byars and wife Susie of Vernon, TX and Robert Ladd Byars and wife Monica of Midland, TX, sister, Eleice Wickham and husband Ron of Denver, CO; six grandchildren; one great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her son Brent Haynes May 8, 1997, sister Beverly Ann Clement July 4, 1990, a brother Clois Judson Byars, Jr. January 18, 2021.
