Obituary

After valiantly battling cancer, Margaret Logsdon went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. She fought the good fight and was in good spirits along the way. Her body gave up, but she never did.

Margaret leaves behind her brother Ralph Sanchez of Palm Coast, Florida; three children and their spouses: Michael & Marcia Rios of Denton, Texas, Norma & Kyle Whitt of Southlake, Texas, and Donna & Chris Cummings of Troutville, Virginia; eleven grandchildren : D'yon, Ashley, Zachary, Noah, Andy, Evan, Preston, Colin, Colby, Hudson, and Jack; eleven great grandchildren: Sierra, Savannah, Shannon, Elizabeth, Philip, Hadassah, Josh, Jacob, Colton, Carson, and Cameron; four great-great grandchildren: Kyrah, Kohen, Liam, and Leighton.

Margaret was preceded in death by her spouse Larry Logsdon; parents Julio Sanchez and Andrea Pena Sanchez; brother Lupe Sanchez; sister Celia Sanchez; and son Daniel Rios.

Margaret worked retail in Vernon for many years with her latest employer being Gebo's. She enjoyed meeting and greeting people and providing quality customer service. She worked until that ripe young age of 82, when she received her diagnosis. Her goal was to beat it and return to work. She loved her independence. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, watching wrestling (came in handy when shopping), sampling different restaurants, exploring new destinations, and pampering her pets.

She was also a volunteer with the Wilbarger General Hospital Auxiliary group, known as the Pink Ladies, in the gift shop for 30+ years. She always looked forward to serving her community there.

Margaret was a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Vernon.

Viewing and rosary will be held Sunday night April 16, 2023, at 6:30 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 17, 2023, at 10 am at the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Vernon with a graveside service afterwards.

Her family welcomes your presence in joining them in celebration of her life.

Revelations 21:3-4

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His [ a ] people, and God Himself will be among them [ b ] , 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
