Margarito (Marko) "The Corn Man" Escobedo, 63 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kendall Graves officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Marko was born Wednesday, June 10, 1959, in Huacasco, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the son of the late Felipe Escobedo and the late Vivian Rivas  Escobedo. He married Rhonda Morris on May 1, 1982 in Vernon. He worked for Tyson Food for 38 year he was a pallet and forklift operator he  retired about a year ago. He loved the 49'ers. He was well known for his famous Roasted Corn on the cob that he would sell around in Vernon. He was a member of Grace Church in Iowa Park, TX.

Marko is survived by his wife Rhonda Escobedo of the home his son, Marko Cody Escobedo of Vernon, TX, daughters, Brandi Lopez of Vernon, TX, Ashley Sparkman of Vernon, TX and Angel Nino of Vernon, TX. Twelve grandchildren, his siblings Alicia Escobedo, Vernon, Texas, Rosario Escobedo of Vernon, TX., Felipe Escobedo, of Brownfield, TX., Sonia Escobedo of San Antonio, TX., Norma Alonso of Azusa, CA., Miguel Escobedo of Olney, TX., Mario Escobedo of San Antonio, TX., Salvador Escobedo of San Antonio, TX., Rodrigo Escobedo of San Antonio, TX.

He is preceded in death his parents and four siblings Maya Escobedo, Juan Escobedo, Jose Escobedo, and Orlando Escobedo.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
