Maria Granados 76, of Chillicothe, Texas passed away on August 12, 2024, in Woodward, OK.

Funeral mass will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Vernon TX with Father Jack McKone officiating. Burial will follow at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Maria was born October 31, 1947, in San Pablo, Jerecuaro, Mexico to the late David Sanchez and the late Maria Del Pueblito Benitez. Maria was the 2nd of 4 children. She met Jose Granados on the church porch, and they talked through a crack in the wall. The two married on September 20th of 1967.  They welcomed 10 children to their family. Maria served her family as a homemaker, welcoming many friends and loved ones to the table. She and her family were members of the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church. Her big heart, delicious food, sense of humor, and the joy she took in each of her children and grandchildren will be greatly missed.

Maria is survived by husband Jose Granados of Chillicothe TX, 9 children  Manuel Granados and spouse Isela of Denver CO, Leticia Granados and spouse Benjamin of St. Paul MN, Silvia Granados and Spouse J. Dolores of Aurora CO, Maria Del Refugio Granados and spouse Miguel of Aurora CO, Lucila Granados and spouse Norberto of Aurora CO, Gabina Granados and spouse José Cruz of Aurora CO, Maria Evelia Granados and spouse Federico of Thornton CO, Jose Granados and spouse Aida of Pecos TX, Beatriz Graham and spouse Jason of Woodward OK. 30 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and a sister.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents David and Maria del Pueblito Sanchez and daughter Eloisa Granados Sanchez.

Rosary and visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, 6-8pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel in Vernon TX.
