Marilyn Lankford, 79 of Sherman, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Denison, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brooks Kimmey officiating.  Burial will follow at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born Friday, January 19, 1945, in Littlefield, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Ford and the late Ruby Kirkpatrick Ford. She married Cotton Lankford on December 23, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Texas. Cotton passed away September 13, 2019. Marilyn managed the Dairy Queen in Chillicothe for many years. She retired from the North Texas State Hospital working as a PNA, and at the time of her retirement she worked in security. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

Marilyn is survived by three daughters, Holly Powell of Sherman, Texas, Duron Cranford & husband Wayne of Electra, Texas, and Brandi Whiteside & husband Kevin of Vernon, Texas; three grandsons, Chance & wife Emily, Chad & wife Cierra, and Kadyn, and four great grandchildren, Leighton, Lennon, Harper, and Lawson. Marilyn also leaves behind her sister, Ann Ewbank of Midland, Texas.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ford.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, at Sullivan Funeral Home at 1:00 pm until services begin.
