Eunice Marvine Newberry, 93 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be held Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church in the Parlor with Rev. George Records officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at the Hamlin East Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas

Marvine was born Friday, September 21, 1928 in Hamlin, Texas to the late David "DM" White and the late Eunice Hampton White. Marvine married Clyde Sammy Newberry on March 20, 1948 in Hamlin, Texas. Clyde passed away on June 26, 2015. Marvine was a former member of the Oakwood Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas. Marvine enjoyed reading and especially traveling with her husband throughout the years.

Marvine is survived by two sisters, Beth Walker of Rogers, TX and Nona Rhoton of Allen, TX. Two nieces Melissa Sykes of Mount Airy, North Caroline and Pam Surber and husband Jim of Vernon, Texas, one nephew Mike Newberry and wife Jo Nell of Lake Dallas. Marvine is also survived by her great nephews and great nieces Ken Newberry, Lynn Newberry, Jeff Surber, Dennis Willis and Andrea Sykes as well as many other family and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-7pm at the Sullivan Funeral Home.
