Mary Ellen McLean, 73 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, December 12, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Celebrating of Life will be held at a later date.

Mary was born Tuesday, November 16, 1948 in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Franklin and the late Harriet Richter Franklin. She moved to Vernon in 2010 from Dallas. She worked as Manager of Tyson Cafeteria for several years she retired in October of 2020. She was a member of Wilbarger Co. EEA Club and  a member of Red River Valley Museum. She  was a Catholic. and she was a homemaker. Mary was a loving person she always had a smile on her face and enjoyed being with all her friends and she enjoyed gardening. She loved animals especially her dog Winston, she will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mary is survived by her son, Corey McLean (Cara Nicholson), of Calvary, Alberta Canada, brother, Ken Franklin (Debbie) of Marble Falls, TX, two sisters, Bernadette Schmitz (Eldon) of Deerfield, WI and Prudie Childress (Lee) of Florence, MS. two grandchildren McKenna Nicholson and Mason McLean.
