Michael Craig Jerner, 67 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in Vernon, Texas.
Mike was born Tuesday, September 30, 1958, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the son of the late Dr. R. Craig Jerner and the late Clydamae E. “Bettie” Johnson Jerner. He married Angela Quintero on May 12, 2007, in Vernon, Texas. Before entering the Mud Logging Field, Mike attended Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of Oklahoma from 1982 – 1984 where he studied Geology and Earth Science. Since 1985, he was the president and founder of West Texas Wellsite Inc. He also owned Crazy Mike’s Saloon. He was an Eagle Scout and three-time champion of Moose's Mijo’s Fantasy Football League. He loved playing golf, gambling, and was a lifelong fan of the Oklahoma Sooners.
Mike is survived by his wife, Angela Jerner, two daughters, Lauren Jerner and Marissa Sparks, two grandsons, Greyson and Owen, one brother, Steve Jerner, and two sisters, Lisa Hodges and Beth Jerner. Mike also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of in-laws.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. After visitation, everyone is invited to celebrate Mike’s life at his home at 3203 Paradise St., Vernon, Texas.
