Nelda Fern Swatzell, 77 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Neal Owens officiating, Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park. under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Nelda was born Sunday, July 23, 1944 in Quanah, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Hall and the late Linnie Mae Barnett Hall. She married Stanley Ray Swatzell in March of 1977 in El Paso, Texas, he preceded her in death in 2020. She was a devoted mom and grandma. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was a homemaker.

Nelda is survived by her three sons, Russell Swatzell of Vernon, TX, Dustin Swatzell of Vernon, TX and B.J. Swatzell of Spring, TX, her brothers, Roy Hall and Bill Hall and her grandchildren Aubrey Gayle Swatzell, Taryn Gene Swatzell, JC West and Sawyer Brannon.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Bobby Hall, Jack Buchanon. Sisters, Linda Lyles, Opal Osborne and Thelma Hall.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
