Nieva "Nona" T. Rubiano, 74 of Frisco, Texas passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, in Frisco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Vernon, Texas, with Father Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Nona was born Thursday, August 5, 1948 in Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Alvaro Tolentino and the late Maria Tariga Tolentino. Nona was a graduate of Santo Tomas University in Manilla, Philippines, where she received a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She came to the United Stated in September of 1970. After passing the National Board of Nursing Exam in 1971, she worked as an RN at Wilbarger General Hospital and United Regional, but mainly in the Metroplex area. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas.

Nona is survived by one son, Christopher Rubiano & wife Amy of Stuttgart, Germany; one daughter, Eleanor "Lea" Rubiano of Frisco, Texas; two brothers, Ted Tolentino of Vernon, Texas and Dr. Reynaldo Tolentino & wife Cindy of Vernon, Texas; two sisters, Linda Boyea of Tucson, Arizona and Daisy Canivel & husband Nick of Wichita Falls, Texas. Nona also leaves behind one grandson, Brady Rubiano.
