Orval Edward Railsback, 87 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

A private family service will be scheduled at a later date.

Orval was born Sunday, April 26, 1936, in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late Ed Railsback and the late Gladys Broadus Railsback. He married Bobby Olivares in September of 1978.  Bobby passed away November 17, 2023. He mainly worked as a self-employed repairman, and worked with Ed Garnett at the auction house. He loved fast horses and cars. Orval raced micro midgets in Amarillo, Texas. He was a Baptist Minister for many years at Lockett Baptist Church.

Orval is survived by one son, Bobby Railsback of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Sherry Railsback of Vernon, Texas; one step son, John Lehman of Greenville, South Carolina, and three step daughters, Jo Lynn Lehman of Azle, Texas, Julie Burk of Azle, Texas, and Jeanie Williams of Dean, Texas. Orval also leaves behind five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Orval is preceded in death by his great grandson, Jacob Cedillo.
