Patricia Ann Streit, 89 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loyd Daniel and Dr. Derrell Monday officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Patricia was born Thursday, October 4, 1934, in Burkburnett, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander Morgan and the late Mabel Louise Williams Morgan. She married James L. Streit on December 28, 1953 in Burkburnett, Texas. Patricia graduated from Burkburnett High School and then graduated from Midwestern State University as Valedictorian. She was also a rodeo queen in high school. She was a school teacher, teaching in Lockett, Crowell, Quanah, and Vernon school districts. She also taught piano. Patricia was very active at First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Musicians Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Rotary Club, and the Storyteller's Club. She was a Docent at Red River Valley Museum. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and she loved bluebonnets.

Patricia is survived by her children, Babs Streit of Houston, Texas, Julie Nickoloff & husband James of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Scott Streit & wife Patrice of Marble Falls, Texas; four grandchildren, Jonathan Streit & wife Megan, Emily Nickoloff Bybel & husband Jeremy, Christian Streit & wife Alysson, and Lauren Nickoloff, and five great grandchildren, Sutton, Lincoln, Genevieve, Yahudah, and Bonnie.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, James Streit in 2017; her parents, Charles & Mabel Morgan; one sister, Joella Gragg, and her infant daughter, Sharon Streit.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
