Patricia Ann Stringer, 77 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, January 1, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral home with Mr. Mike Klappenbach and Rev. Brooks Kimmey officiating. Interment will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Patti was born Saturday, June 9, 1945 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Teman Otho Hughes and the late Julia Carol Loftin Hughes. She married Jerry Wayne Stringer on August 6, 1961 in Vernon, Texas. Patti was a graduate of the Greenbelt School of Vocational Nursing and was a nurse for many years at the Hillcrest Clinic for Dr. Robert Borchardt and Milton Brownlow. She also worked as a home health nurse in her later years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vernon and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Patti loved her boys and their friends. She made every high school game, never missing a baseball, football, or basketball game. Patti loved large family gatherings.

Patti is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Stringer; sons, Jay Dee Wayne Stringer & wife Shelley of Vernon, Texas, Jodie Teman Stringer & wife Stephanie of Boerne, Texas, and Jeffrey Neill Stringer & wife Heidi of Clinton, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jacob Don Stringer, Jayton Gray Stringer & wife Jennifer, Josslyn Valeria Ann Stringer, Jett James Stringer, Julia Jeré Stringer, Jillian Marie Stringer Carpenter & husband Brady, and Jacie Neill Stringer; great-grandchild, Myles Dean Carpenter; sister-in-law, Jeanene Gfeller.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Teman and Carol Hughes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
