Pearl "Pearlie" J. Mangram, 84 of Vernon, TX, passed away July 2, 2024 in Vernon, TX surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E. J. Tyson of Oklahoma City, OK and Minister Lillie Rodgers of Lubbock, TX. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Pearl J. was born March 3, 1940 in Vernon, TX. She was the daughter of the late Jessie James Rosborough (father) and Inell Rosborough (mother). She married Eugene Mangram in February of 2009. He passed away May 5, 2011. She was the second born of triplets. She worked at Canton Café and later for Dr. Robert L. Moore, and Dr. Lane Collums for numerous years. She was also a homemaker as well. Pearl J. liked to dance, work in her yard, gardening, playing dominoes, cooking, and helping others. She loved sitting on the porch waving at anyone and everyone who passed by. She wasn't a stranger to anyone. Pearl J. loved her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, family and friends. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church where she was on the Usher Board in 1993.
Pearl J. is survived by two sons, Lafayette Willis and Bobby Willis of Vernon, TX; two daughters, Gwen Barnes & husband Randy of Vernon, TX, and Marie Mayberry of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Samecko Willie, Lesley Willie, Jr., Zundria Willis Hines, LaToya Wingfield, Niesha Willis, Bobby Willis, Jr., Lafayette Sheppard, and Laquia Poole, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pearl J. is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie James Rosborough and Inell Rosborough; her husband, Eugene Mangram; brothers, Jessie, Willie, James, and Billy Dean (third triplet); sisters, Inell and Laurine (first triplet), and two granddaughters, Tieshia Youngberg and B.J. Willis.
