Dr. Presnall Hansel Wood, 89 of Dallas, Texas died on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Dallas, Texas.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 10:00 am at Crowell Cemetery in Crowell, Texas under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Crowell, Texas

Memorial Service celebrating his life will be Saturday, April 2 ,2022 at 2:00 pm. In Ellis Chapel at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas

Dr. Wood was born Saturday, May 7, 1932, in Vernon, Texas.  He was the son of the late J Hank

Wood and the late Bertha Brock Wood. He married Joyce Ann Middlebrooks on May 28, 1953 in

Vernon, Texas. He was a Pastor of many Southern Baptist Churches with his last church being Park Place Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  He was Editor of the Baptist Standard from 1977 to 1996.  Upon retirement, Dr.Wood spent a few years working as the Director of Church Relations for Buckner International. He had an interest in fountain pens and was very involved with the Dallas Pen Club.

Dr.Wood is survived by his wife Joyce Ann Wood of the home. two sons, Dr. Jeffery Wood and wife Ellen of Allen, TX and Jed Wood and wife Sheri of Fort Worth, TX., his grandchildren Dr. Jeffery Brooks Wood Jr. and wife Kyndall, Hannah Masters and husband Ben, Baxter Wood, and CJ Wood. Great grandchildren Theodore Wood, Baylor Sue Wood, Emma Masters, and Oakleigh Masters.
