Q D Chism, 87 of Decatur, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 10:00 am at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Chapman officiating.

Q D was born Sunday, March 29, 1936 in Thalia, Texas. He was the son of the late Luther Chism and the late Ida Lee Thomas Chism. He married Billie Joyce Layton on September 23, 1960 in Vernon, Texas. Billie passed away August 27, 2018.  Q D worked for the City of Vernon in the Parks Department, and he was a member of the Vernon Masonic Lodge #655.  He was also a member of Vernon Baptist Church.

Q D is survived by one son, Mike Chism & wife Amanda of Decatur, Texas; two brothers, Charles Chism and Wesley Chism, and one sister, Barbara Ann Webb. Q D also leaves behind two grandchildren, Tate Chism and Raegan Chism.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Home at 9:00 am until the graveside service begins.
