Ray Tucker, 75 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 30, 2022 at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. George Records officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Ray was born Sunday, August 17, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas. to the late J.T. Tucker and the late Ola Mae Head Tucker. Ray was the husband of Carole Spears Tucker for twenty-seven years. Ray was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and he was a huge fan of Oklahoma State University and University of Oklahoma.  Ray began his career by working along side his dad J.T. at Tucker's right across the Red River in Oklahoma. Later in life Ray owned and operated Tucker's Texas. Ray just loved people and he definitely enjoyed visiting with them. Ray would always make time for his three coffee stops 6:00am Braum's,  8:30am Herring Coffee Shop and back at 2:30pm Herring Coffee Shop. He really enjoyed his coffee buddies. Ray was a member of First Presbyterian Church and loved his church family tremendously.

Ray is survived by his wife Carole Tucker, one daughter, Emily Kristine Grushey of Dallas, TX. and one grandson Donald Collins Grushey. Ray also leaves behind his side kick Shiner Bock.
