Revell Cherry Christian, 72 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie King and Rev. Norris Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Revell was born Thursday, January 24, 1952, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late George Cherry and the late Vera Scott Cherry. She married James Roy Christian on July 4, 1968, in Vernon, Texas. Revell worked at the North Texas State Hospital as a Mental Heath Worker for thirty-one years. She enjoyed being outside on her porch. She loved to bake and crochet. She loved Tina Turner. Revell was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church.
Revell is survived by four sons, Mitchell Cherry & wife Adrian of Vernon, Texas, James Cherry & wife Alice of Vernon, Texas, Jason Cherry & wife Jennifer of Vernon, Texas and Ed Cherry, Jr. & wife LaTonda of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Bridget Christian of Vernon, Texas, Tiffany Cherry of Mansfield, Texas, and Julee Fullerton & husband Artist; four brothers, Edward Cherry & wife Marie of Vernon, Texas, Donald Richardson & wife Beverly of Vernon, Texas, Dan Richardson of Vernon, Texas and Richard Cherry & wife Tonya of Wichita Falls, Texas, and six sisters, Crystal Cherry Moore, Cassandra Cherry & husband Freddie of Vernon, Texas, Angelita Daniels of Vernon, Texas, Von Daniels & husband Roy of Lubbock, Texas, Vilista Richardson of Vernon, Texas and Tricia Richardson of Vernon, Texas. Revell also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Revell is preceded in death by her husband James Christian on September 19, 2021; two brothers, George Cherry and Juan Keith Cherry, and one sister, Linda Houges.
